This section outlines the joint activities that are undertaken by the UN in Iran. Together the 17 UN agencies in Iran work to follow up to MDGs and other global conferences and declarations. Other activities by the UN System include the Common Country Assessment (CCA), the UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF), and common approaches to cross-cutting issues such as the harmonization of programme cycles, common premises and common services.

These common achievements are made possible in part through collaborative fora such as Heads of Agency meetings, inter-agency theme groups, teams and taskforces.
