Tehran, 16 October 2018- UNICEF Iran and the Ministry of Sports and Youth signed a joint workplan on Tuesday 16 October 2018. The two year workplan aims to enhance adolescent and youth empowerment and participation guided by national development strategies for Iran's young people. It also focuses on the promotion of adolescent and youth social health and well-being, promotion of healthy life styles and physical activity, development and participation. The workplan was signed in a ceremony held at the Ministry of Sports and Youth by Dr Mandana Rassouli, Director General of International Affairs Office of the Ministry of Sport and Youth and Dr Will Parks, UNICEF Representative in Iran. This is a reinvigorated partnership between UNICEF and the Ministry of Sport and Youth five years since the two organizations had their first official cooperation agreement.
