Model United Nations conference (MUN) on one of the sessions of Human Rights Council (HRC)

On the occasion of Human Rights Day (10 December 2019), the “Peace & Law” Committee of Iranian Peace Studies Scientific Association, University of Tehran Students’ Association of Faculty of law, with the support of the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) plan to hold a Model United Nations conference (MUN) on one of the sessions of Human Rights Council (HRC) on 12 December 2019. 

Model United Nations conferences are simulations of the session of different UN bodies.  They are popular exercises for those interested in learning more about the UN. It is estimated that more than 400,000 students worldwide participate every year in MUN at all educational levels – from primary school to university. 

Interested applicants should send their CV and a Motivation Letter to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. not later than 30 September 2019. Since the MUN will be held in English, all the participants shall be fluent in written and spoken English and prepare the required documents in this language.

In case of acceptance, short-listed applicants will be invited for an interview.   There will be 47 delegates as the HRC members. The delegates are expected to participate in all 5 preparing sessions before the main session of MUN to be eligible to receive the certificate.
